Flash coil steam generators – UM and UM-HP series

For instantaneous steam production, the boilers take just 2-3 minutes to start up and supply steam, offering a wide range in terms of steam production and design pressure. UM and UM-HP series are the best choice for applications requiring small steam flow rate, fast start-up, and medium/high operating pressures.

Technology

UM flash coil steam generators include forced circulation and guarantee a steam production range between 500 – 4.000 kg/h. They can be supplied both in vertical or horizontal models, fully packaged and with all the necessary equipment to be connected with site utilities.

UM-HP series are steam generators of the natural circulation type. The coil is manufactured in 16 Mo3 to guarantee a long life for the boiler even in challenging working conditions, with pressure steam up to 100 barg and temperatures up to 312°C. The coil’s dimensions, large furnace, low thermal load, and low-pressure drops ensure steam circulation already at low pressure.

Customized solutions are possible for high-pressure applications, especially in terms of design pressure up to 80 barg.

These steam generators are manufactured in-house on our dedicated line for seamless, perfect production of pipes and spirals.

Water forced by a piston pump is circulated through pipes forming the heating surface, which is divided into three sections for:

  • Preheating of feedwater
  • Conversion of water into steam
  • Slight superheating of steam to reduce water content

UM steam boilers are supplied in standard and container versions.

Ideal for special applications, such as edible oil refineries, UM-HP boilers are fully customized and tailored to the customer’s needs.
